How a 101-year-old nurse left her 1950s time warp apartment worth $1.1million to the hospital she worked at for 70 years

By Taylor and Partners Reception

A nurse has gifted her 1950s ‘time warp’ apartment to the hospital she worked at for more than 70 years.

Elizabeth Anne ‘Nan’ Kearins bequeathed the $1.1million two-bedroom apartment in Darling Point in Sydney’s eastern suburbs to the city’s St Vincent’s Hospital when she died at the age of 101 in 2019.

She never married but dedicated her life to the inner-city private hospital after starting training there as a nurse in 1936.
